What file formats does AI CV review support?

Whitecarrot supports PDF, Word, Google Docs, plain text, and LinkedIn profile exports. All formats are parsed and normalised before scoring so inconsistent formatting doesn't disadvantage any applicant.

How is the match score calculated?

Scores are computed against the specific skill framework you defined in your hiring plan — not generic criteria. Each competency is weighted by importance, and evidence in the candidate's submission is extracted and cited. You can see exactly which parts of a CV contributed to each score component.

How does the auto-promotion work?

Whitecarrot analyses historical applicant data across your roles and industry to identify which channels drive the highest quality applications for each role type. It then allocates your promotion budget automatically, boosting posts on high-performing platforms and pulling back on underperforming ones in real time.

Can we use our own assignment rubrics?

Yes. You define the criteria and weighting for each assignment type. Whitecarrot will review each submission against your rubric and produce a structured score breakdown. You can also provide example responses at different score levels to calibrate the AI's judgement to your standards.

How long does video analysis take?

Most videos under 5 minutes are analysed within 2–3 minutes of submission. For large batches, Whitecarrot processes videos in parallel overnight so your entire shortlist is ready first thing in the morning. Supported formats include Loom, Vidyard, direct uploads (MP4/MOV), and YouTube unlisted links.

Can hiring managers see the AI notes before an interview?

Yes - notes and probe questions are visible to all team members with access to that candidate's profile. You can also push a pre-interview brief to interviewers via email or Slack. Notes are editable so recruiters can add observations before passing the profile to the hiring manager.
